Who We Are
We are a team of fun loving professionals who’s passion is to help people live life to it’s fullest!

Our Vision:
To see the Gold Coast Community thriving and actively enjoying the outdoors
Our Mission:
To use our professional knowledge for education, hands-on treatment and exercise advice to help people achieve their own goals and feel better than they imagined
Our Purpose:
To empower the people of the Gold Coast to live happy, active and outdoor lifestyles
Choosing The Right Home
Finding the right place to work is more important than the shirt you wear, the clients you’ll see or the pay check you get each week. Don’t get me wrong, the money, clothes and clientele is very important, but the vibe and gut feeling you get from where you spend your days is the most important factor of all!
At GCSMR we want you to look forward to coming to work because you’ll have good laughs with your clients, enjoy working with and learning from your co-workers and generally feel positive and supported in the workplace and maybe even make some long lasting friendships.
A good work – life balance is very high on the list of important things and we work hard with each of our therapists to make sure that their work lives help them in their personal lives as well. We want you to feel comfortable and to have as much fun here as we do!
Your Needs
We understand what is needed to succeed in private practice

Support
It can be daunting leaving the fold and entering into a new workplace for anyone, especially if you’ve only recently graduated. We are open and honest and listen to the concerns and needs of our staff to ensure everyone feels supported.
Confidence
Beginning a new job or career is an exhilarating time. We want to support you to grow your confidence as a person first and foremost, but as a therapist who feels confident in their clinical reasoning, decision making and treatment plans.
Learning
Learning is a life-long vocation and is something we place high importance on. Continued education and post-graduate pathways are always supported, and GCSMR provides generous professional development allowances.
Experience
We realise that everyone has come from different backgrounds and life experiences and that we all have something different to bring to the table. Our team have anywhere from 2 – 20 years experience and want to share their knowledge with you!
Time
It is important that you feel comfortable when settling in, and we do our best to allow for longer initial assessment and follow up times in the early days. This takes some pressure off while you find your feet and your individual rhythm as a therapist.
Team
We’re definitely biased, but we think we have the best team on the GC!
Our director is supportive to your life outside of work, our therapists are all supportive and happy to help with tricky cases, and our admin team is out of this world!
Everyone thoroughly enjoys what they do, and we have heaps of fun while we’re at it!
Features & Benefits
If you’re successful in joining our team, you can expect the following:

01 Mentoring
You will receive mentoring in a number of forms. This includes regular 1-1 and team mentoring sessions as well as shadowing with more experienced therapists.
Your mentoring will include both internal support, but also access to highly regarded mentors and external educators.
02 Non-Clinical Support
Your clinical mentoring will focus on clinical skill acquisition and growth. But your non-clinical mentoring is equally as important.
At GCSMR we want to know what drives you to do what you do, and by having regular goal setting days we can help you plan how your work with us can help you achieve your goals outside of work!
03 Professional Development
We strongly encourage our therapists to attend professional development opportunities in all forms! Our director Sarah is passionate about learning at all stages of your career and can be found presenting her own research at the national APA and AAG Conferences.
We provide generous professional development allowances, and all requests are open for negotiation. If you’re interest in a more structured pathway, we’re more than happy to assist you with support through everything from a new graduate pathway, post-graduate titling or even a formal Masters or PhD!
We’re therapy nerds and LOVE to learn new things, and we love to help others learn as well!!
04 Mixed Case Load
Whether you’re just starting out in private practice, looking for a change of pace or have been at it for years, there are so many options to explore with Exercise Physiology!
We like to find out your area of interest or expertise and ideally fit your caseload to suit where possible. On the other hand, if you don’t really know what you like, and want to experience it all, we definitely have that on offer!
We see patients from a VERY wide variety of settings including: athletes, general MSK, older adults in community 65+, women’s health, reformer pilates, neurological, paediatrics and much more!
