Belly Bands

The 3-in-1 Belly Band for Pregnancy, postpartum and c-section is fantastic support band that helps through pregnancy and recovery. Our women’s health physiotherapists are happy to answer any questions you may have and help you decide if this is the right product for your and your individual needs. If you suffer from back pain, sciatica, heaviness or abdominal separation the belly band can help alleviate the symptoms associated with pregnancy.

TENS Machine

TENS Machines (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) are devices that send small electrical impulses to the affected area of your body which can be felt as a tingling sensation. They are small, portable devices and can be used anywhere, anytime. The electrical impulses reduce the pain signals going to the spinal cord and brain, which may help relieve pain and relax muscles. They are a fantastic option for home use, especially when you have pain and your therapist isn’t around to help!

Our sister clinic Mummy & Me: Physio & Pilates stocks obstetric TENS machines which are a fantastic option to assist with the pain associated with labour. The obstetric TENS machines can be worn from the first niggles through to delivery, and come with a ‘boost’ button that intensifies the electrical impulse during contractions. Ask one of our knowledgeable Women’s Health Physios about hiring one of our obstetric TENS machines for labour.

Perifit Pelvic Floor Training Device

If you’re struggling with incontinence and embarrassing leakages, the Perifit Pelvic Floor Training Device is a great option to help in your rehabilitation. The Perifit comes with an app that downloads to your mobile phone and gives real-time biofeedback while your strengthening your pelvic floor. If you’re tired of doing keels at the stoplights, the Perifit has interactive games that you play with your pelvic floor and the app tracks your progress over time, giving you a great reference of your rehabilitation.
When you come into our Kirra and Burleigh Heads locations for a pelvic health assessment, your women’s health physiotherapist can assess and recommend treatment options and may recommend a Perifit. We do, however recommend you having an assessment prior to purchasing a Perifit as if your muscles are already overactive, this can exacerbate the symptoms if not properly treated first.

When you come in for treatment and leave asking, ‘what’s that cream, it smells great?’ It’s Better Nature we’re using. Now you can take that freshly treated feel home with you in smaller versions of cooling gel, pain relief cream, and a heating balm.

Olive & Bee Intimate Cream

Olive & Bee is an Australian made, organic lubricant with no chemicals, preservatives, flavours, colourings or additives.

Extra virgin olive oil was chosen as a base, as it is naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal. It is also high in antioxidants, hence is self-preserving without the need to add chemical preservatives. It was formulated with beeswax as this is a natural thickener with anti-inflammatory properties.

This cream is safe for use during menopause, pregnancy and breastfeeding as a vaginal, protruding prolapse, vulval or anal moisturiser. It can be used to help insert a pessary, dilator or even a suppository, as well as on other areas of the body including heel cream, lip balm, for massage oil and even those suffering with eczema.
